DEPARTMENT OF SAMHITHA AND SIDDHANTHA

Department of Roga Nidana evum Vikriti Vigyan deals with study of etiopathogenesis of diseases, their underlying pathologies, examination of patient for various symptoms and signs according to principles of Ayurveda to arrive at the final diagnosis. The discipline of Roga Nidana finds a parallel in the modern discipline of pathology.

We have a fully furnished department of Roga Nidana evum Vikiriti Vigyan with various instruments and equipment for various laboratory studies. we have a departmental museum consisting of 15 models and 50 charts on different concept of Roga Nidana. We have a resourceful department library with all treasured collections of books on diverse topics. We also have Pathological specimens and histopathological studies available in department of Roga Nidana for deeper understanding of subject.

Vision

  • Students are the valuable assets and always the primary concern of department. To make them successful to diagnose a case on the principles of Ayurveda and contemporary sciences is the main motto of the Department.

Mission

We offer various facilities for students –

  • From learning clinical examination, and hands on training on patient examination to arrive at final diagnosis.
  • Practical exposure on conducting different laboratory tests like haematological and biochemical analysis.
  • Study on usage of diagnostic tools like MRI, CT, X-RAY, USG, ECG and on updating knowledge on recent advances of technology in medical field.
  • Encourages students for attending CME programmes and research publications.
