Department of Rasashastra Evam Bhaishajya Kalpana is a branch of Ayurveda which deals with the preparation of medicines by using Kashtaoushadhi (Herbs), Rasoushadhi (metals and Minerals) and Kashta-rasoushadhi (Herbo-mineral). It includes toxic drug also, where these toxic drug should undergo specific samskara like Shodhana (purification), marana (incineration) to remove its toxicity, before preparing the medicine. All the procedures related to converting the raw drug into medicinally consumable form. Different types of formulations like Vati, Churna, Kashaya, Taila, Varti, Asavarishta, arka etc are prepared in the Rasashala (teaching pharmacy) as  practical’s for Students. A Well maintained Department, Rasashala, Museum containing models, raw drug, mineral drug specimens, charts, prepared medicine samples etc. are helpful for learning. The Department has well equipped with the instruments to carry out all types of procedures
